I recently purchased a usb Memorex Travel drive and I was wondering what is better. A Memorex Travel drive or a external hard drive. I know a external hard drive has moving parts inside that reads and writes information and a Travel drive does not.

exactly..talking of portability you should go for usb drive , or flash drive. because it doesnt have moving parts like the external hard drive. its not designed to be carried always else it can be damaged. capacity wise hard drive has greater capacity than flash drive. you can buy a 500 to 800gig of hard drive. and flash drive i think up to 4.. 8 gig?
