Q&A: What is the luggage latch located at the bottom side of the plane called?(under the wings)?



THIS IS FROM THE GAME FLIGHT SIMULATOR X.
When an aircraft is near departure, people below use some kind of machine to load luggage onto the plane.
Some kind of part of the aircraft is pulled down to make this happen.
i need to know what this part is called.

They are called baggage doors. They are usually on the righthand belly of the plane in front of and behind the wings.

Its the cargo doors and yes you have them rear of the wings and behind the wings,,, freight shifts sometimes in flight
so some aircraft the doors open out, because when they used to push the door in they could not get inside because the freight blocked it,,,

also called a bin...has drain holes on either side that sometimes get clogged...activates a sensor light in the cockpit when ajar or open.

machine you speak about is called a belt loader on a narrow body; container loader on a wide body...exc the bulk pit. Some 757s used containers for baggage.
