A few nice Rail images I found:

Irish Rail diesel loco number 073 heads the RPSI's heritage coaches on the 'Best of Both' rail tour on the 3rd of October 2010. Here we see the train approaching Jackson's Bridge near Maynooth.

071 class locos like this used to be very common on this stretch of track, pulling the InterCity trains between Dublin and Sligo for decades. Now, we almost never see them. The 071s have now been withdrawn from passenger service, and just work the small amount of freight traffic left on Irish Rail. Here we see 073 in it's new freight livery, in the past she would have been seen in Irish Rail's old orange passenger livery. Considering she was built in 1976 I guess she's looking pretty well!

This shot was tweaked a little using Topaz Adjust.

An old carriage in the rail yards. It was there for a long time, and now is gone. I was on my way to a 1 day photo course at the Powerhouse Museum, which turned out to be on paintshop. At the course, I finally understood photo manipulating software and here I am taking and adding lots of photos.

Today it was announced that there is now a Cafepress shop selling Rails Stuff.

Now I love Rails as much as the next person… but what is up with this?

A Rails Thong? Who knew there would be a demand for these?

to the first Rails geek that can snap a picture of someone wearing one of these and get it posted to the Rails Weblog.
