Below is an excerpt from my HDR travel blog. Cheers.

Walking south from Central Park along 5th Avenue in New York City you'll find some of the most well crafted department store fronts in the world. Around Christmas, they serve as a window into a dreamworld for many children. Thousands of parents bring their kids every year see these windows, in a tradition that has taken place for generations.

I often run into a well known photographer named Bill Cunningham shooting candids on this block. This New York icon has spent most of his life photographing these sidewalks, capturing some of the most fashion forward people in the world coming and going on New York's 5th Avenue. Bill is now 80 years old. He was recently awarded the New York City's Mayor Award for Arts and Culture for his contribution to New York City's cultural life, most of which was captured at the very spot this photo was taken.

I'll be off to Thailand tomorrow for 3 weeks (!!!) so I decided to make myself a travel journal. The last time I was in thailand about 5 years ago I started to write a travel journal but I was just too lazy to keep going. Now I really regret it, because I can't remember all the places we stayed at. So this time I want to make sure, I'll document all the great places we see and things we do (I'm definitely gonna take a thai cooking class this time!!).
